Self driving vehicles in smart city

Course Description

This course describes the definition and the applications of self-driving vehicles in smart city. It introduces some of the key pioneer and well-known self-driving vehicles. Several self-driving vehicle technologies are explained, including adaptive cruise control, trajectory tracking, automatic parking, lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, etc. Several examples of self-driving vehicle research are highlighted as VDO presentation. The course also describes the future trends of self-driving vehicle research and development.

Learning Outcomes

Students will understand self-driving vehicle definition and the technologies behind each function of self-driving vehicle. They are expected to apply these technologies to their research works.
