Course Description

This course focuses on integrating smart technologies into urban agriculture to enhance food production in city environments. Topics include vertical farming, hydroponics, IoT-based monitoring systems, and data-driven approaches to urban agriculture. Students will explore sustainable practices, resource optimization, and the role of technology in addressing food security challenges. The course also addresses environmental and economic factors impacting urban farming and the potential for reducing a city’s carbon footprint.
